Privacy Policy

SMindMap is an online mind mapping service. It allows users to quickly create mind maps, store them in the cloud or their own device and access from anywhere, collaborate and share mind maps with colleagues and friends.

This Privacy Policy describes how and when SMindMap collects, uses and shares your information when you use our services. When you use SMindMap, you agree to the collection, transfer, manipulation, storage and other uses of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

This first section (Information collection and use) describes how SMindMap works isolated from third parties and optional services. The second section (Information sharing) describes how we share information with third parties.

Information collection and use

Users saving maps to SMindMap storage: When you save maps to free SMindMap storage, with authentication, we do not collect or store any personal information. The map content usage is subject to the SMindMap Terms of Use.

Third-party authentication: To improve user experience, we offer single sign-on solutions for account login and these third parties (including Google and Microsoft) may receive information from these services when you elect to use them.

Third-party authorization: When you authorizeusing a third party, such as Google Account/Microsoft Account, that service authorizesyou directly, and an authorizationtoken identifying you as the document owner is stored in your local browser session profile. This information is automatically discarded once you close the current browser session.

SMindMap Storage: Content saved using SMindMap is saved by your own Google Drive or One Drive. SMindMap does not store any information related to your content on cloud storage services.

For the collaboration feature: We store the ID of the collaborator ad hoc until the end of such collaboration.

Cookies: We may use cookies to identify users that previously visited our web sites, for the purpose of analytics and selecting relevant news updates to display. You can clear this information at any time by clearing the browser cookies associated with SMindMap domain.

Information sharing

Saving to Google Drive/One Drive: When you work with a mind map stored on Google Drive/One Drive, your browser directly interacts with that service and the map content never passes through our servers. We use standard Google Drive/One Drive sharing functionality when you decide to share the map, and standard Google Drive/One Drive authentication/authorization mechanisms for access control.

Analytics: We use analytics extensively for troubleshooting and optimisation purposes. We may record anonymous summary information about actions users perform including the type of action performed, but not the actual textual contents of any changes of changes. (So for example, we may record that you created a new map, but never about what you put into the map).

Payments: We use a third-party payment processor. When you submit a payment to SMindMap, your payment information data is communicated directly from your browser to such third-party payment processor, using HTTPS. We do not store your payment instrument details (such as card numbers), the third-party payment processor stores it securely for SMindMap.

Information hosting: SMindMap uses the Firebase platform for hosting web sites, application data and services. Any information you submit directly to us may be stored and processed using Firebase. This data is protected using standard Firebase account protection mechanisms.

E-mail: SMindMap uses Google Mail e-mail services. Any e-mails you send to us will be processed and stored using Google Mail.

Google APIs Disclosure

SMindMap's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Changes to this Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of the Terms will govern our use the Services and will always be at https://smindmap.com/privacy

We may amend or update this policy from time to time and will notify you of any material changes to this policy. Previous versions of this privacy policy are available upon request.

If you disagree with this policy, you can stop using SMindMap at any point.
